Are you afraid of 2012?

Because we commit crimes over recreational items.

"Three women in West Palm Beach, Florida, say $1,000 worth of Best Buy merchandise was stolen from their car Friday morning within minutes of being purchased, according to CNN affiliate WPBF." Read the full story here.

If we can
break the law during Thanksgiving over some recreational items such as laptops, I shudder to think of what we're capable of in an environment of chaos where necessary things (such as food and water) are limited. If ants can work together and make ant bridges (an act in which the ants sacrifice themselves for the sake of the colony), why is it that humans haven't evolved this trait of unselfishness?

Unfortunately the next scenario, as depicted in the following clip art, is 99.9999% nonexistent. And for that reason, we will not survive 2012. In the face of catastrophe, we will kill each other first before we make any sacrifices.
